Goals should be expected in Monday's Allsvenskan contest in Gothenburg.

Over 2.5 goals is my first pick, with BTTS also likely to land at Gamla Ullevi.

Monday's meeting will be their first encounter since 2017.

Allsvenskan newcomers GAIS come into Monday's fixture winless in three league matches after a 3-1 defeat at Sirius last weekend. Fredrik Holmberg's side have now lost five of their last seven away fixtures.

Much stronger at Gamla Ullevi, the Mackerels claimed five wins and one draw from their six most recent home contests. GAIS scored at least two goals in all five victories.

Competing in the top flight for the first time since 2012, Holmberg's men sit seventh in the division, two points ahead of visiting AIK.

GAIS have a near-fully fit squad available for Monday's Allsvenskan contest. Anes Čardaklija could miss out after he was forced off in the first half of last weekend's setback at Sirius.

AIK Form

AIK returned to winning form with a 2-1 win at Halmstad last Monday. Ioannis Pittas's ninth goal of the season secured a first away victory of the season. AIK had failed to win any of their 12 previous Allsvenskan road matches since July 2023.

Consistency has proven the biggest issue for Henok Goitom's side. AIK won five but lost six of their 11 previous league contests.

A reliable choice for goal chasers, at least three goals were scored in nine of their last ten fixtures. An average of 4.7 goals were scored in those games.

AIK Team News

AIK boss Goltom reported no new injury concerns after last Monday's win at Halmstad. The recently-appointed boss is expected to name an unchanged XI.

Martin Ellingsen remains a long-term absentee.
