Dinamo Minsk host Belarusian Premier League leaders Slutsk at Dinamo Stadium on Saturday. The hosts should have plenty of confidence under new boss Leonid Kuchuk with a high scoring match expected.

Dinamo Minsk lost their opening two matches in the Belarusian Premier League, a 1-0 home defeat against Ruh Brest and 3-2 defeat at Minsk. They bounced back with a 2-0 home win against Torpedo with goals to Vladislav Klimovich and Karlo Brucic.

Dinamo lost 1-0 Gorodeya where they struggled after Danilo was sent off in the 64th minute. They recorded a 2-0 home win against Neman Grodno with Miha Goropevsek and Evgeni Shikavka on target.

It wasn’t enough to save manager Sergey Gurenko who was swiftly replaced by Leonid Kuchuk. Kuchuk’s first match in charge was a 3-1 win at Smolevichi-STI.

Ivan Bakhar turned home a Karlo Brucic cross in the 7th minute and won a penalty that Evgeni Shikavka converted to make it 2-0. Bakhar headed a Vladislav Klimovich cross off the bar but Shikavka pounced on an error to make it 3-0.

Miha Goropevsek headed an unfortunate own goal past Maksim Plotnikov but Dinamo Minsk played some fine football and fully deserved the win.

Left back Artem Sukhotsky missed the match against Smolevichi and is doubtful. Igor Shitov got his first league start of the season at right back, the Dinamo captain should give his side a big boost.

Brazilian winger Danilo returned from suspension off the bench to highlight their strength in depth. South Korean winger Jun-Young Kim remains a doubtful with a thigh problem.

Evgeni Shikavka is in top form with four goals and an assist in his last three league starts. The Former AE Larisa striker is forming a deadly partnership with 21-year-old Ivan Bakhar.

Slutsk stayed top of the league with a 3-2 home win against Belshina last time out. Goals to Umar Muhammed Bala and Artem Serdyuk established a 2-0 lead but they conceded an unlucky goal on the stroke of halftime.

Their defence fell asleep in the 52nd minute that allowed Belshina to equalise. Slutsk suddenly found themselves on the back foot with Pankratov making two important saves to keep the scores level. 

Belshina were reduced to 10 men in the 85th minute and were made to pay. Muhammed Bala headed in Sergiy Chebotaev’s cross to secure a vital three points.

Left back Roman Krivulkin is recovering from injury and is doubtful, Aleksandr Anyukevich expected to continue in the starting side. Centre back Denis Obrazov is available after suspension and competes with Soslan Takulov for a starting spot.

Artem Serdyuk could have done enough to stay ahead of Abdoul Gafar for the striker position. Nigerian Umar Muhammed Bala is in great form with three goals in his last two matches.
