Gorodeya lost their first two matches of the season but bounced back with three straight 1-0 wins. They defeated Belshina, Dinamo Minsk and Energetyk-BGU Minsk.

Oleg Radushko’s side then suffered a 2-0 home defeat to BATE Borisov where they struggled to create clear cut chances. Gorodeya’s last match was a 1-1 draw at Ruh Brest.

Artem Arkhipov is still stranded in Russia but close to returning to Gorodeya. His brother Sergey Arkhipov remained on the bench last week with Lazar Sajcic leading the line.

Central defender Semen Shestilovski started three straight matches but came off the bench in Brest. Central midfielder Yuri Volovik remains sidelined. 

Left back Sergey Pushnyakov has made two straight substitute appearances. 19-year-old winger Rostislav Shavel got his first start of the season in Brest.

Minsk suffered a humiliating 5-2 home defeat to Torpedo Zhodino on Saturday. They looked promising in attack but their defence fell apart and they were 3-0 down before Vladimir Khvashchinski struck back. 

Andrey Razin’s side were down 5-1 before substitute Ognjen Rolović bagged a consolation goal. Minsk have now lost four of their last five matches in the Belarusian Premier League.

Holding midfielder Oleg Evdokimov continued in the starting side after returning from injury. Attacking midfielder Vladislav Nasibulin missed the match against Torpedo after sustaining an injury during the warm-up against BATE.

Manager Andrey Razin could be tempted to make changes here with his side embarrassed last weekend.
