Minsk host BATE Borisov with the visitors looking in big trouble in Belarus. Minsk have been extremely hard to beat at FC Minsk Stadium and will provide a tough challenge.

Minsk began the season with a 3-1 win at Belshina. They scored three unanswered second half goals to Oleksandr Vasyliev, Vladimir Khvashchinski and Dmytro Ryzhuk.

Dmytro Ryzhuk was unavailable at Energetyk with 19-year-old Sergey Sazonchik stepping into central defence. Midfielder Oleg Evdokimov has missed the last two matches and is out for a few more weeks.

Ukrainian midfielder Oleksandr Vasiliev wasforced off injured at Energetyk and is doubtful.

The pressure on manager Kirill Alshevskiy intensified after a 1-0 loss Slavia Mozyr in the Belarus Cup semifinal first leg. Maksim Skavysh wasted BATE's best chance of the match as he headed wide from point blank range in the 79th minute.

Goalkeeper Denis Shcherbitski returned from injury in the Cup which is a boost. Dmitry Bessmertniy remained on the bench in the Cup defeat and could return to the starting side.
