Slutsk won the Belazovets Friendly Tournament in February and their form has continued, currently sitting top of the Belarusian Premier League. Their season started with a 3-1 home win against Slavia Mozyr after falling behind early.

Vitali Pavlov’s side suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Dinamo Brest but rebounded with a 3-2 win at Isloch. Souleymane Koanda put them ahead with goals to Egor Semenov and Abdoul Gafar overturning a 2-1 deficit.

Slutsk drew 1-1 at home against Vitebsk thanks to another Souleymane Koanda goal before a 2-1 win at Shakhter Soligorsk. They survived an early onslaught and but took the lead through a Yuri Kozlov free kick and a Umar Muhammed Bala strike.

Central defender Denis Obrazov was sent off in the 51st minute, giving away a penalty on the process but Boris Pankratov made an important save before a late own goal.

Centre back Denis Obrazov is suspended but Soslan Takulov returned to the bench in Soligorsk and is his likely replacement. Left back Aleksandr Anyukevich made his first start of the season and could continue in the starting side. 

Marat Buraev returned from suspension in Soligorsk, but the winger was replaced by Vitali Trubilo before half time and is doubtful here. Artem Serdyuk competes with Abdoul Gafar for the striker position.

Belshina lost 1-0 at Torpedo Zhodino and suffered another 1-0 defeat at home against Gorodeya. Eduard Gradoboev’s side drew 1-1 at Neman Grodno with Leonid Kovel scoring his second goal of the season. 

Their last match was a 1-1 home draw against fellow promoted club and strugglers Smolevichi. Sergey Glebko scored an 80th minute penalty after Kovel was fouled, but Samuel Odeyobo gifted the visitors a soft penalty from which they equalised.

Belshina Bobruisk News

Goalkeeper Sergey Turanok came back into the starting side against Smolevichi at the expense of Aleksey Kharitonovich. Winger Roman Salimov has missed the last two matches as he recovers from injury.

Sergey Glebko looked dangerous off the bench at Gorodeya, earned a start in Grodno and scored the opening goal against Smolevichi. He could be an important player this season.

Brazilian striker Nivaldo has joined the club from Maltese club Gudja United FC. He previously played in Belarus for Gomel and Dinamo Brest and will provide competition for Leonid Kovel.
