Slutsk vs Vitebsk Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

Slutsk have started the season strong and should be full of confidence at the City Stadium. Vitebsk have won two of their opening three games in the Belarusian Premier League but could struggle to stifle Slutsk’s attack.

Slutsk Form

Slutsk won the Belazovets Friendly Tournament in February before going unbeaten in five friendly matches. Vitali Pavlov’s side got their Belarusian Premier League season started with a 3-1 home win against Slavia Mozyr.

They fell behind early but fought back with goals to Soslan Takulov and an Artem Serdyuk brace. Slutsk then suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Dinamo Brest after conceding from a free kick.

Slutsk won 3-2 at Isloch last time out. Souleymane Koanda headed in Yuri Kozlov’s free kick but they found themselves 2-1 down in the 58th minute. Egor Semenov finished off a slick team move and Abdoul Gafar secured victory from the penalty spot.

Slutsk News

Burkina Faso midfielder Dramane Salou is injured but Yuri Kozlov returned to the starting side at Isloch. Striker Abdoul Gafar also returned from injury and scored the winning goal.

Winger Marat Buraev received a bizarre red card at Isloch as he walked off to be substituted. He is likely to be suspended with Alan Koroev a chance to step in.

Slutsk Predicted Confirmed Line Up

Pankratov, Trubila, Obrazov, Koanda, Chebotaev, Semenov, Teterenko, Muhammed, Kozlov, Gafar, Veljko.

Vitebsk Form

Vitebsk started 2020 with a 1-0 home win against Gorodeya. Sergey Yasinski’s side took the lead through an own goal and held on after Maksym Kalenchuk was sent off before half time.

Vitebsk lost 2-0 at Neman Grodno after being level at half time. They bounced back with a 1-0 win at Smolevichy thanks to Evgeni Klopotskiy’s 25th minute free kick.

Centre back Daniil Chalov was sent off in the 55th minute but Vitebsk held on for an important three points.

Vitebsk News

Maksym Kalenchuk returned from suspension at Smolevichy and should partner Wanderson in central midfield. With Daniil Chalov suspended expect Brazilian Julio Cesar to get a start in central defence as Oleh Karamushka is still injured.

Striker Ion Nicolaescu was replaced by Ruslan Teverov and winger Diego Santos Carioca came off the bench.

Vitebsk Predicted Starting Line Up

Soroko, Nazarenko, Klopotskiy, Cesar, Skitov, Kalenchuk, Wanderson, Gurenko, Matveenko, Volkov, Teverov.
