Arsenal looked fantastic in their most recent pre-season friendly, crushing Leverkusen 4-1. I will back them to beat Lyon to nil today in the Emirates Cup, since the French side failed to score in two of their last three friendlies.

The Gunners earned a 2-1 victory against Manchester United, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli on target.
Another English pre-season derby was seen against Liverpool earlier this month, losing 2-1 with Kai Havertz finding the net in the first half.
Mikel Arteta’s side returned to winning ways four days ago with a 4-1 home victory against Leverkusen, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz finding the net.
Lyon Form
Lyon kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 3-2 victory against WSG Tirol, but then lost the follow up match against St Pauli 1-0.
They were also held to a goalless draw by Torino and then beat Union Berlin 4-0 earlier this month.
Lyon’s most recent competitive appearance was seen in late May, losing the French Cup finals to PSG 2-1, Jake O’Brien scoring a consolation goal in the second half.
Verdict
Lyon couldn’t find the net in their two recent friendlies against Torino and St Pauli. Arsenal’s confidence is high after demolishing Leverkusen, so I will back the Gunners to win to nil today.
