Manchester United have been inconsistent so far in the pre-season, losing to Rosenborg and Arsenal. Liverpool won both their friendlies against Arsenal and Betis, so I am predicting the Reds to make it three in a row in South Carolina.

This is going to be the fourth pre-season friendly for Manchester United, losing the first encounter to Rosenborg 1-0, followed by a 2-0 victory against Rangers in Edinburgh, Amad Diallo and Joe Hugill finding the net.

Erik ten Hag’s side was defeated in their recent friendly against Arsenal 2-1 on US soil despite gaining an early lead through Rasmus Hojlund but returned to winning ways on July 1 against Real Betis 3-2.

The Red Devils’ last competitive appearance was in late May at Wembley, causing an upset by winning the FA Cup finals against Manchester City 2-1, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo on target.

Liverpool were victorious in their first pre-season friendly match, beating Real Betis 1-0 which was also Arne Slot’s debut as the new head manager, Dominik Szoboszlai on target in the first half.

They were also victorious in their second appearance against Arsenal 2-1, Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho finding the net in the first half.

Besides Man Utd, the Reds will also lock horns against Sevilla before the new season starts on 17th August.

They wrapped up the previous campaign with a 2-0 home win against Wolverhampton, Alexis Mac Allister and Jarell Quansah on target.
