Brazil vs Colombia Predictions

Brazil have been beating every team in their path which can continue against Colombia. With a stern defence and Neymar in superb form, I am backing Brazil to win to nil in Rio de Janeiro.

  • Brazil have won their last 9 matches (all competitions).
  • Brazil have won to nil in 8 of their last 9 matches (all competitions).
  • Brazil have won by 2+ goals in 8 of their last 9 matches (all competitions).
  • Brazil’s Neymar has scored 7 goals in his last 5 internationals (all competitions).
  • Brazil’s Neymar has scored 2 goals in his last 3 matches against Colombia (all competitions).

Head to Head

Brazil have a 19-3 advantage against Colombia with 10 draws in 32 matches.

Brazil Form

Brazil have won their last nine matches, keeping eight clean sheets in that run and winning eight of them by 2+ goals.

The Seleção won all six World Cup qualifiers to prepare for Copa America.

Tite’s side beat Venezuela 3-0 in their opening match at Copa America. Marquinhos, Neymar and Gabriel Barbosa were on target in Brasilia.

Brazil backed up with a 4-0 win against Peru. Alex Sandro, Neymar, Éverton Ribeiro and Richarlison were on target in Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil Squad & Team News

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Ederson, Weverton
Defenders: Thiago Silva (captain), Marquinhos, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Renan Lodi, Éder Militão, Felipe, Emerson
Midfielders: Casemiro, Lucas Paquetá, Fabinho, Fred, Éverton Ribeiro, Douglas Luiz
Forwards: Neymar, Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus, Richarlison, Everton, Gabriel Barbosa, Vinícius Júnior

Éverton Ribeiro and Richarlison came off the bench at half time against Peru, scored, and could start here.

Tite could make more changes here with Roberto Firmino hoping to start.

Neymar has scored 68 goals in 107 internationals and needs nine more to equal Pepe at the top of the goalscorers list for Brazil.

Colombia Form

Colombia went undefeated in their first four matches in 2021.

Reinaldo Rueda replaced Carlos Queiroz as manager in January and showed some signs of turning their fortunes around.

Rueda guided La Tricolor to a 3-0 win in Peru and 2-2 draw against Argentina in the World Cup qualifiers.

Colombia started Copa America with a 1-0 win against Ecuador. They then drew 0-0 against Venezuela despite having 65% possession and 23-2 shots.

Colombia’s last match was a 2-1 defeat against Peru. Miguel Borja equalised from the penalty spot but conceded an own goal nine minutes later.
