Martín Lasarte’s side started Copa America with a 1-1 draw against Argentina. Arturo Vidal saw his penalty saved but Eduardo Vargas converted the rebound to secure a point.

Chile beat Bolivia 1-0 in their second match. Ben Brereton came into the starting side and scored the winner in the 10th minute.

Chile’s last match was a 1-1 draw against Uruguay. Eduardo Vargas opened the scoring in the first half before an Arturo Vidal own goal levelled the scores.

Alexis Sanchez didn’t travel to Brazil due to a calf injury and won’t play in the group stage.

Centre back Guillermo Maripán picked up an injury against Uruguay and was replaced by Enzo Roco. 

Midfielder Erick Pulgar and striker Eduardo Vargas picked up knocks against Uruguay and are doubtful.

Paraguay Form

Paraguay are undefeated in nine of their last 11 matches with five draws in their last nine.

La Albirroja went undefeated in their opening five World Cup qualifiers before a 2-0 defeat against Brazil. 

Eduardo Berizzo’s side beat Bolivia 3-1 in their first match at Copa America. They were 1-0 down after 10 minutes but dominated after Bolivia were reduced to 10 men, Kaku equalising before two goals to Ángel Romero.

Paraguay’s last match was a 1-0 defeat against Argentina. They were under the pump early, fell 1-0 behind in the 10th minute, fought back strong but couldn’t find an equaliser.
