Palmeiras captain and midfielder Felipe Melo should start after recently returning from an ankle injury.

Santos are currently 10th in the Brazilian Serie A after an inconsistent season. They got past Boca Juniors in the Copa Libertadores semi-finals, securing a 0-0 draw in Argentina before a 3-0 win in Brazil.

Cuca’s side returned to the Serie A with a 2-1 home win against Botafogo but have lost three straight since. 

Santos lost 2-0 at Fortaleza after Mota saw a penalty saved. They surrendered a 2-0 lead at home in a 4-3 defeat to Goias and lost 2-0 at Atletico Mineiro last time out.

Santos centre back Lucas Veríssimo is available to play before he joins his new club Benfica.

Captain and defensive midfielder Alison is out after testing positive for corona virus.

Veteran attacking midfielder Carlos Sánchez is out until April with a cruciate ligament rupture. Striker Raniel is also injured.

Expect Cuca to recall his top players to the starting side including forward Marinho who has scored 18 goals in all competitions.
