Head to Head

Namibia have a slight edge with one victory to none over Eswainit, with two draws in three meetings across all competitions.

Namibia edged Eswaini 1-0 in the 2017 COSAFA Cup.

Namibia Form

Namibia drew their opening Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup match against hosts South Africa on Wednesday, securing a point after the score ended 1-1.

South Africa had most of the possession, but Namibia took the lead, heading home in the 43rd minute of the match.

South Africa made four substitutions at the beginning of the second half, which had the right effect, leveling matters after 48 minutes of play.

Namibia made some changes later in the contest, but the score remained 1-1 until the final whistle.

They had 39% possession and nine shots in the match, with three on target.

Namibia have secured three wins in their last ten internationals, including three losses and four draws.

The Brave Warriors' last five results across all competitions are lost, drew, won, lost, and drew, scoring six goals and conceding seven.

Namibia did well at last year's competition, losing in the final to Zambia and will be looking for a repeat performance in this edition of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup. They have never been defeated by Eswatini, giving them the edge to secure the victory.

Namibia Team News

Coach Collin Benjamin will likely field a similar lineup that drew with South Africa.

Bethuel Muzeu picked up an injury late in the second half and is a doubtful starter.

Elmo Kambindu scored the opening goal against Bafana Bafana on Wednesday evening.

Goalkeepers: Edward Maova, Kamaijanda Ndisiro, Jonas Matheus
Defenders: Denzil Haoseb, Ngero Katua, Aprocius Petrus, Ivan KamberipaIvan, Kennedy Amutenya, Steven Damaseb, Brandon Neibeb, Ananais Gebhart
Midfielders: Absalom Iimbondi, Devin Somseb, Wendell Rudath, Marcel Papama, Dynamo Fredericks, Edmar Kamatuka, Paulus Amutenya, Joslin Kamatuka, Revered Matroos
Forwards: Betuel Muzeu, Elmo Kambindu, Junior Petrus

Eswatini Form

Eswatini lost their opening group match, coming up short once more against their bogey team, Botswana, going down by a goal to nil.

Botswana took the lead in the 22nd minute of the match to gain the upper hand over Eswatini.

Both sides made tactical changes in the second half; however, the score did not change in the remaining time as Eswatini extended their winless run against Botswana to six games.

Eswatini had their chances, but their finishing let them down, which has been an issue for them lately.

They had 47% possession and ten shots in the match, with two attempts on target.

Sihlangu Semnikati have secured one victory in their last ten fixtures, including five defeats and four draws. Additionally, they have not scored in six of their previous seven matches.

Eswatinis' last five results across all competitions are drew, drew, lost, lost, and lost, scoring two goals and conceding six.

Eswatini continue to misfire upfront, making their job of qualifying for the next phase of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup a difficult one, as they have yet to beat Namibia. Can they be more clinical in front of the goals?

Eswatini Team News

Striker Sabelo Ndzinisa was injured in the second half and is a doubtful starter.

Defenders: Lindo Mkhonta, Mlamuli Msibi, Sihlangu Mkhwanazi, Siboniso Mamba, Sibongakonkhe Silenge, Mcolisi Manana, Vusi Vilakati, Lucky Gamedze, S'manga Masangane, Mpendulo Tfomo
Midfielders: Mzwandile Mabelesa, Sifiso Matse, Neliswa Dlamini, Kwakhe Tfwala, Bongwa Matsebula, Mxolisi Mkhontfo
Forwards: Mthokozisi Gwebu, Sabelo Ndzinisa, Fanelo Mamba, Philani Mkhontfo
