Czech First League Format
The Czech First League is contested by 16 teams who play a regular season from July to April. The team that finishes first wins the championship and the 16th placed team is autromatically relegated into the Czech National Football League.
After the regular season concludes, teams are divided into three groups with the top six entering the championship group. The teams from 7th-10th position take part in the UEFA Europa League play-offs. The winners take on the the 4th or 5th placed teams to determine who will participate in the UEFA Europa League.
The teams from 11th-16th position in regular season play against each other once with the 14th and 15th placed teams contesting a relegation play-off against the 2nd and 3rd placed teams from the Czech National Football League.
