Copenhagen might face some fitness problems after playing a lot of matches recently. Viborg were dangerous in the first tie and score regularly in the Superliga, so I am going with BTTS on Thursday.

They last met last week in the first leg, the game being won by Copenhagen 1-0.

Copenhagen’s performance in the DBU Pokalen semifinal first leg was far from impressive, but managed a 1-0 road win at Viborg, Jordan Larsson finding the net in the 58th minute.

The Lions had a couple of slip-ups in the Superliga in April, but still lead the title race with a one-point advantage over Midtjylland with three rounds left to be played.

They were beaten by Brondby 2-1 and Midtjylland 4-2 in mid-April, but bounced back with two consecutive victories against AFG, 3-1 both in Aarhus and at home.

Copenhagen made it three in a row last weekend with a 3-0 road victory against Brondby, Larsson, Gabriel Pereira and Victor Froholdt on target.

Viborg Form

Viborg had 1.16-0.84 expected goals, 50% possession and 11-7 shots in last week’s cup semifinal clash against Copenhagen but still lost 1-0 in front of the home crowd.

They have been a tough team to beat in the Superliga recently, currently on a ten-game unbeaten run which kept them in the Conference League playoffs race.

After beating Silkeborg 2-1 in mid-April, Viborg recorded four consecutive draws in the top flight against Vejle 3-3, Lyngby 1-1 & 0-0 and Sonderjyske 2-2, Yonis Njoh and Isak Jensen scoring two goals each in these encounters.

Team News

FC Copenhagen are missing Elias Achouri due to an injury that will keep him out until late May, while Birger Meling is dealing with a hamstring issue. Kevin Diks is also sidelined but expected to return in a few days. Nicolai Boilesen and Oliver Højer are both doubtful.

Viborg will be without Oliver Bundgaard Kristensen, who is recovering from a cruciate ligament injury and won’t be back before mid-August. Zan Zaletel is also doubtful with the same type of injury.

FC Copenhagen v Viborg

Viborg will have to be aggressive here after losing the first tie last week. 11 of their last 13 games in the Superliga have seen BTTS, and since I don’t trust Copenhagen’s defense, this is the best bet on Thursday.
