Nordsjaelland vs AGF Aarhus Preview

AGF Aarhus are on a five-game losing streak and enter this match completely unmotivated. Nordsjaelland are playing good at home, so I will back them to win here and keep their European dream alive.

HTH

Nordsjaelland have a 30-23 advantage against AGF Aarhus with 15 draws in 68 matches.

They last met in late March, the game in Aarhus being won by AGF 2-0.

Nordsjaelland Form

Jens Olsen's side has secured just one victory in their last five Superliga appearances and most likely dropped from the European race, sitting in 5th place with a five-point deficit from 3rd Randers.

Nordsjaelland pulled an upset in late April by defeating title contenders Midtjylland 3-2, but then suffered a 5-0 loss to the same opponent in Herning and lost 3-2 to Randers, Sindre Egeli and Benjamin Nygren scoring two goals each in these encounters.

The Tigers failed to return to winning ways last weekend in front of the home crowd, the match against Brondby ending in a 2-2 draw. Stephen Acquah saved Nordsjaelland with his 88th minute equalizer.

AGF Aarhus Form

AGF Aarhus have little left to play for in the remaining two Superliga rounds, sitting in 6th place in the Championship Group with no chance of reaching the European positions.

Uwe Rosler’s side have been in disastrous form recently, picking up just one point from their last six matches.

That draw came in mid-April at home against Midtjylland (1-1), followed by a series of defeats to Randers (3-1 twice), FC Copenhagen (3-1 twice), and Midtjylland (3-1).

Team News

Nordsjaelland remain without Diallo Sanoussi and Daniel Svensson, who are both sidelined with knee injuries. Defender Kian Hansen is also unavailable due to injury, with no clear return date provided.

AGF are missing several players as well. Kevin Yakob and Jacob Andersen are long-term absentees due to cruciate ligament injuries, with Andersen not expected back until late December. Defender Michael Akoto is also ruled out while Tobias Bech is suspended.

Predicted Starting Lineups

Nordsjaelland: Hansen, Ankersen, Salquist, Hogsberg, Lahteenmaki, Janssen, Brink, Dorgeles, Nygren, Nene, Egeli

AGF: Wahlstedt, Tingager, Dalsgaard, Molgaard, Bach, Beijmo, Madsen, Poulsen, Arnstad, Anderson, Mortensen
