Viborg caused a lot of trouble for Copenhagen in both of their h2h meetings this season. Hosts are unbeaten for nine games straight, so I feel comfortable with backing them with a double chance on Thursday.

Viborg have been a tough team to beat in the last two months, managing nine consecutive matches without a loss.

They started the last month with back to back victories against Sonderjyske 2-1 and Silkeborg 2-1, Isak Jensen scoring two goals and registering one assist in these games.

Viborg have drawn three games straight since then, 3-3 at Vejle, 1-1 at home against Lyngby and 2-2 at Sonderjyske last weekend, Yonis Njoh playing a key role with two goals and one assist.

Copenhagen Form

Copenhagen had a couple of painful losses in mid-April but improved in the last two weeks and reclaimed the leading position in Superliga, currently one point ahead of Midtjylland.

The Lions were beaten by Brondby 2-1 and Midtjylland 4-2 in a span of four days, but bounced back with a 3-1 home win against AGF on 21st April, Viktor Cleasson, Jordan Larsson and Amin Chiakha finding the net.

They made it two in a row last weekend against the same opponent, winning 3-1 in Aarhus, Larsson on target once again, Lukas Lerager and Thomas Delaney also finding the net.

Team News

Bundgaard Kristensen is out with a cruciate ligament injury and isn’t expected back until mid-August for the home side. Zaletel is also sidelined with a similar issue and remains day to day.

As for the visitors, Boilesen and Hojer are both doubtful. Meling, Diks and Elyounoussi are all out with injuries and are not expected back before mid-May.
