Al Ahly returned to the Premier League with a 4-0 home win against Al Ittihad. Kahraba, Hussein El Shahat, Mohamed Sherif and Akram Tawfik all scored in a comfortable victory.

Wadi Degla Form

Wadi Degla narrowly avoided relegation last season, finishing two points above the drop zone. They started the current campaign with a 1-1 draw at National Bank of Egypt after conceding an equaliser in the 95th minute.

Nikodimos Papavasiliou’s side bounced back with a 2-1 home win against El Mokawloon. Mohamed Helal opened the scoring from the penalty spot and Amin scored the winner.
