The Addicks beat Burton 3-1 in their final match of the season before defeating Wycombe in the play-offs. Charlton held the Chairboys to a goalless away draw in the first leg.

Nathan Jones’ side followed that stalemate with a 1-0 home win to progress to the final. Matty Godden scored after 81 minutes as Charlton had 12 shots and 55% possession.

Leyton Orient Form 


Leyton Orient entered the League One play-offs as the most in-form side in the division. 

The O’s went unbeaten in their last seven matches of the regular season. They won six conseucitve games to end the campaign before drawing 2-2 against Stockport in the play-off semi-final.

Richie Wellens’ outfit went 1-0 up in the second leg through Ollie O’Neil’s early goal. Orient conceded in the second period and reached the final after a 5-2 penalty shoot-out win.

Defenders Dan Happe and Tom James are unavailable due to injury.

Midfielder Theo Archibald is also injured and unlikely to feature. 

Charlie Kelman is likely to start up front after scoring 23 league goals this season. 

Verdict

Charlton and Leyton Orient are in similar tough-to-beat form and well-matched heading into the play-off final. This is likely to be a close-fought game and a Wembley draw is the best bet.
