Gillingham vs Peterborough Predictions

Peterborough's poor away form coupled with Gillingham’s recent upturn in results make this a tricky trip to the Priestfield. Goals should be expected with Gillingham seeing over 3.5 goals in their four of their last five matches.

  • Gillingham have seen over BTTS in 4 of their last 5 matches (League One).
  • Gillingham have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 5 matches (League One).
  • Gillingham have seen over 3.5 goals in 4 of their last 5 matches (League One).
  • Peterborough have seen over 2.5 goals in 2 their last 3 matches (all competitions).
  • Peterborough's Jonson Clarke-Harris has scored in his last 3 matches (all competitions).

Head-to-Head

Both teams have won six of the last 17 matches played. There have also been five draws.

The teams played out a 0-0 draw in January at Peterborough in the reverse fixture.

Gillingham Form

Gillingham sit in 14th place in League Two after recent improvement in form that has seen them involved in some high-scoring affairs.

The latest was a five-goal thriller as they defeated Charlton 3-2 on Saturday. Olly Lee, Connor Ogilvie and Kyle Dempsey got the goals for the Gills.

Steve Evans' side have lost one of the last six games. That came in a 3-0 loss at home to leaders Lincoln City in their last home match.

Prior to that they had beaten Accrington 1-0 and Crewe 4-1 and drawn 2-2 with Rochdale and Sunderland.

Gillingham Injuries and Team News

The Gills have no fresh injury or suspension issues but have been rotating the side in recent games.

Forward Jordan Graham and midfielder Callum Slattery should remain out with this match coming too soon.

Peterborough Form

Promotion-chasing Peterborough United are in good form, losing only one of their last 10 league games.

Last time out, Posh launched a comeback to overturn an early deficit at home to Ipswich and win 2-1. Jonson Clarke-Harris and Joe Ward sealed the win.

Away from home it has been a different story for Peterborough. They have won once in the last nine on the road in all competitions with six defeats.

The weekend postponement against Blackpool has also given them extra time to prepare for the Gillingham game.

Peterborough Injuries and Team News

Midfielder Siriki Dembele remains a doubt with a knee issue, so Mohamed Eisa should retain his place.

Defender Ronnie Edwards also remains out with a thigh injury.
