Oxford vs Lincoln Predictions

Oxford and Lincoln have struggled for wins recently. The Imps’ away form has been inconsistent but they have picked up draws on the road. I am backing a draw on Friday.

  • Oxford have drawn 2 of their last 4 matches (League One).
  • Oxford are winless in 8 of their last 11 matches (all competitions).
  • Lincoln are winless in 7 of their last 8 matches (League One).
  • Lincoln have drawn their last 2 away matches (League One).
  • Lincoln have drawn 3 of their last 6 away matches (all competitions).

Head to Head

In 33 meetings between the sides, Oxford has a 16-12-win advantage over Lincoln, with five matches drawn.

Lincoln beat Oxford 2-0 in the reverse fixture at the LNER stadium after goals from Anthony Scully and Adam Jackson either side of halftime.

Oxford Form

Oxford lost 1-0 away to Northampton on Tuesday evening, their second loss in as many matches.

Sam Hoskin's second-half goal punished Oxford, who dominated the match with 17 shots on goal and 60% possession.

The result follows a 2-0 home loss to Blackpool last weekend. The Us were unable to build on their last win in League One, a 3-0 win over Doncaster three matches ago.

Oxford are winless in nine of their last 11 matches in all competitions, leaving them three points off the play-off places.

Oxford Injuries & Team News

Sam Long, defender, is ruled out through injury.

James Henry, winger, and Elliot Lee, striker, missed the Northampton match on Tuesday but they are back in contention this weekend.

Karl Robison made five changes for the loss to Northampton. He is expected to recall Matty Taylor, Liam Kelly and Brandon Barker in attack.

Lincoln Form

Lincoln bounced back from two successive defeats with a 1-1 draw at Sunderland on Saturday.

Callum Morton struck after half-time for the Imps following Callum McFazden’s opener.

It was Lincoln’s first point in three games following a 3-0 loss to Gillingham and a 2-1 defeat to Rochdale.

Lincoln are winless in their last four League One matches, but they have drawn their last two away against fellow promotion hopefuls Sunderland and Ipswich.

Lincoln Injuries & Team News

Jorge Grant, midfielder, Joe Walsh, defender, and Tom Hopper, striker, are ruled out with long term injuries.

Defensive duo Adam Jackson and Lewis Montsma returned from injury against Sunderland and could feature again this weekend.
