Carlisle vs Crawley Predictions

Neither of these teams have done a lot of winning of late. Carlisle have won one of their last 13 matches, while Crawley have lost five of their last six away games.

With both sides struggling for form, a draw looks the best value between the mid-table rivals.

  • Carlisle have won 1 of their last 13 matches (League Two).
  • Carlisle have won 1 of their last 7 home matches (League Two).
  • Carlisle are unbeaten in their last 14 matches against Crawley back to 2012 (all competitions).
  • Crawley have lost 5 of their last 6 away matches (all competitions).

Head-to-Head

Carlisle haven't lost to Crawley since 2012, a run of 14 games without defeat. They have won eight and drawn six times in that run.

In the reverse fixture in November, Carlisle were 3-0 winners at Crawley. Rhys Bennett, Joshua Kayode and Aaron Hayden got the goals.

Carlisle Form

Carlisle have lost their way over the last two months, winning just one of their last 13 matches in League Two to drop nine points adrift of the play-offs.

It was a third straight loss for Chris Beech's side at the weekend as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Cambridge United.

Carlisle trailed to Paul Mullin's goal before substitute Lewis Alessandra levelled with 12 minutes remaining. But they conceded a 90th minute Adam May winner.

The latest defeat followed losses to Stevenage 3-1 away and Leyton Orient 1-0 at home.

Carlisle Team News

Forward Lewis Alessandra was dropped to the bench for the Cambridge game, but pressed his claims for a recall with the Carlisle goal.

Defender Rhys Bennett has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury, while midfielder Brennan Dickenson is also expected to miss the remainder of the campaign.

Striker Josh Kayode is back from international duty but his ankle injury will keep him out.

Crawley Form

Crawley suffered a blow to their play-off hopes with a second straight defeat on Saturday when losing 3-1 at home to Port Vale.

Ashley Nadesan drew Crawley level on the stroke of half-time, but John Yems' side conceded twice in the second half.

Crawley had lost their previous game 3-2 at Grimsby and now find themselves six points outside of the play-off places.

Away form has been a big factor in Crawley's slide down the League Two table with five defeats in their last six on the road.

Crawley Team News

Midfielder Sam Matthews made his comeback from injury with a 21-minute appearance against Port Vale, and could come into the starting line-up.

Defenders Jordan Tunnicliffe and Tom Dallison, midfielders Tyler Frost and Henry Burnett and strikers Reece Grego-Cox and Davide Rodari all missed the weekend game through injury.

Midfielder Jake Hesketh has been ruled out for the season.
