The English Football League returns this weekend, with all three divisions holding a series of games over the course of the next three days.

Last season's League Two promotion race came down to the last day, with MK Dons defeating Mansfield in dramatic fashion to seal an immediate return to League One.

This season's battle for promotion looks to be even more intense, with all six of the league's new boys looking set to battle for promotion, and all of last season's defeated playoff teams also hoping to have another crack at going up as well.

EFL League Two Promotion Tips - Newport County and Bradford City

Bradford City are expected to make an instant return to League One after a disastrous campaign last year, with many tipping them to seal one of the division’s three automatic promotion spots.

The addition of experienced strikers James Vaughan and Clayton Donaldson over the Summer will have given their front-line a much-needed boost and in Gary Bowyer, they have a brilliant manager for this level.

The club have spent time in the fourth tier before and will know what is required of them to get back up at the first attempt this time around.

As for Newport County, the Exiles lost to Tranmere Rovers in extra-time in last year’s play-off final and manager, Michael Flynn will see this season as an opportunity go one better.

While they may have lost goalkeeper Joe Day to Cardiff, the club has managed to keep hold of the majority of their key players from last season, and Padraig Amond and Jamille Matt are both likely to be important players for the team once again. The experienced duo both chipped in with 14 goals each last campaign and if they can both find that kind of form again, then Newport could finally find a way out of the division.

Newport's biggest challenge this season will be keeping hold of their highly-rated manager, Michael Flynn. The Welsh manager has attracted a lot of attention over the last 12 months, and the right job may just tempt him away from Rodney Parade.

Newport County are incredible value to achieve promotion from League Two this campaign.
