Brighton vs Liverpool Preview

Brighton don’t win many games and Liverpool have enough quality to defeat the Seagulls. A Reds win with BTTS and over 2.5 goals are the best bets in this Premier League encounter.

Brighton Form

Brighton are hovering around the Premier League’s mid-table after struggling for recent form. The south coast team have dropped down the table after securing just two wins from six games.

The Seagulls ended a six-match winless sequence in all competitions with a 3-2 home win against West Ham. Fabian Hürzeler’s side followed that result with a 1-1 home draw against Newcastle.

The mini-unbeaten run continued on Saturday as Brighton beat Wolves 2-0 away. Danny Welbeck struck in the first half and Brajan Gruda added a late second.

Brighton Injuries & Team News

João Pedro is available after serving a three-match ban.

Defender Ferdi Kadioglu and midfield trio James Milner, Georginio Rutter and Solly March are injured.

Liverpool Form

Arne Slot’s Liverpool have already sealed the Premier League title after winning 25 of their 36 games this season.

The Reds won the title following three consecutive wins in April against West Ham 2-1, Leicester 1-0 and Tottenham 5-1. Liverpool then suffered their third defeat of the campaign after a 3-1 defeat at Chelsea.

Liverpool followed the Chelsea loss with a 2-2 Anfield draw against second-placed Arsenal. Cody Gakpo and Luis Díaz scored early and the Reds had 2.75 XG before conceding two second-half goals.

Liverpool Injuries & Team News

Defender Joe Gomez is recovering from injury and is unlikely to play.

Luis Diaz is expected to start after scoring four and assisting once in his last five appearances.
