Head to Head

Brighton are unbeaten in the last seven meetings, winning three times and drawing four.

Two 0-0 draws last season was followed by a 3-0 win for Brighton at St James's Park earlier in the season. Neal Maupay scored twice and Aaron Connolly got the other.

Brighton Form

Brighton's search for a home win went on when they lost 2-1 to Leicester at the Amex two weeks ago as they conceded an 87th winner for the Foxes.

It remains just one win in the last 18 matches at the Amex for the Seagulls.

Since then, Graham Potter's side did end a six-game winless run and a three match losing stretch with a 2-1 victory over Southampton last weekend.

Lewis Dunk and Leandro Trossard scored for Brighton either side of Che Adams' goal in the South Coast derby.

Brighton Team News

Brighton are likely to go in unchanged if Dan Burn is passed fit to play.

Defenders Solly March, Adam Webster and Tariq Lamptey and strikers Aaron Connolly and Florin Andone remain out.

Newcastle Form

Newcastle have kept their heads above water in the relegation fight with three successive draws.

They are two points clear of Fulham in 18th spot after a share of the points against Wolves, West Brom and Aston Villa.

The most recent point came courtesy of an injury-time equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Villa as captain Jamaal Lascelles headed home in the 94th minute.

Newcastle Team News

Newcastle are still without three of their key attacking weapons with top scorer Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron injured.

Defender Fabian Schar is also ruled out, with the Magpies likely to be unchanged from the side which drew with Aston Villa.
