Burnley go in search of a first win of the Premier League season when they host Crystal Palace on Monday. Will Turf Moor be a happy place or will it be more of the same against mid-table Palace?

Burnley Form

Burnley remain winless after seven games of the Premier League season, picking up just two points to sit second from bottom.

The second of those points came from a draw in the last game for the Clarets as they played out a 0-0 stalemate at Brighton before the international break.

The other point came from another 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers West Brom. But Sean Dyche's side have lost to Leicester (4-2), Southampton (1-0), Newcastle (3-1), Tottenham (1-0) and Chelsea (3-0).

It is now just one goal in their last seven games for Burnley, who have drawn blanks in their last four matches.

Burnley Team News

Midfielder Jack Cork remains sidelined, while Burnley have doubts over another six first-teamers.

Defenders Phil Bardsley, Dale Stephens and Erik Pieters could all come back into the side if passing fitness tests, but Charlie Taylor is a bigger doubt.

Midfielder Johann Gudmundsson and winger Robbie Brady also have question marks over their fitness after international duty with Iceland and Republic of Ireland.

Crystal Palace Form

Crystal Palace moved up to 11th place in the table heading into the international break after an emphatic 4-1 win at home to Leeds.

Roy Hodgson's side led 3-1 at the break through Scott Dann, Eberechi Eze and a Heldar Costa own goal. Jordan Ayew completed the job with a second-half goal, although Palace did benefit from a marginal VAR call when 1-0 up as Patrick Bamford had a goal ruled out.

The win ended a poor run of form which had seen Palace win just one win of their previous five games in the Premier League.

Palace lost to Everton (2-1) and Chelsea (4-0) before drawing 1-1 draw with rivals Brighton. They defeated strugglers Fulham 2-1 in a London derby before losing 2-0 to Wolves.

Crystal Palace Team News

Luka Milivojevic remains suspended following his dismissal against Wolves, while goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, defender Joel Ward, midfielder Nathan Ferguson and striker Connor Wickham are still out.

Centre-backs James Tomkins and Gary Cahill could be fit, and full-back Tyrick Mitchell has returned to training. Eberechi Eze is a doubt after withdrawing from England Under-21 duty.

Burnley vs Crystal Palace Head to Head

Burnley hold the better head to head record with a 15-10 advantage over Crystal Palace with 12 draws from 37 previous encounters.

The Clarets won 1-0 at Selhurst Park in the last meeting with Ben Mee getting the only goal of the game. Palace had won the previous four matches including a 2-0 win at Turf Moor last season with Wilfried Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp getting the goals.
