Head to Head

Chelsea have a 45-43 advantage against Wolves in 118 meetings with 30 draws. There have been 17 total goals in the last three meetings between these sides.

Chelsea Form

Chelsea’s potential title push has tailed off after a five match winless run in the Premier League. The Blues are fifth and now 13 points behind Liverpool.

Enzo Maresca’s side lost back to back league games for the first time this season against Fulham 2-1 and Ipswich 2-0. The Londoners responded with a 1-1 draw at Palace and a 5-0 FA Cup home win over Morecambe.

The Blues had another setback following a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. Cole Palmer scored early and Chelsea conceded twice in the second half before Reece James’ injury-time leveller.

Chelsea Injuries & Team News

Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernández, Levi Colwill and Romeo Lavia are all injury doubts.

Forward Mykhailo Mudryk is suspended and won’t play on Monday.

Defensive duo Benoît Badiashile and Wesley Fofana and midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are unavailable due to injury.

Wolves Form

Vítor Pereira’s Wolves are 17th in the Premier League and sit above the relegation zone on goal difference. The Midlands side have the league’s worst defence, shipping 48 goals in 21 matches.

Wolves had a new manager bounce when Pereira took over and were unbeaten in three, scoring seven. The Old Gold then lost 3-0 at home against Nottingham Forest and defeated Bristol City 2-1 away in the FA Cup.

Pereira’s side had another big loss at Newcastle in the Premier League, falling to a 3-0 defeat. Wolves allowed 2.13 XG, conceded in the first half and let in two more in the second period without reply.

Wolves Injuries & Team News

Defenders Yerson Mosquera, Toti Gomes and Mario Lemina are set to miss out through injury.

Midfielder Boubacar Traoré and attacking pair Enso González and Sasa Kalajdzic are out due to injury.

Matheus Cunha is likely to start after scoring 10 goals and making four assists in the Premier League.

Verdict

Chelsea and Wolves concede loads of goals and neither side looks comfortable at the back. Another high-scoring encounter is anticipated in the Premier League.
