Crystal Palace vs Fulham Preview

Crystal Palace have been enduring an inconsistent start to the season, while Fulham managed to edge past Luton in their last game to end a run of three games without a victory in the league.

With neither side convincing at present and having identical records after five games, I'm backing a draw at Selhurst Park.

  • Crystal Palace are winless in 3 of their last 4 matches (Premier League)
  • Fulham are unbeaten in their last 3 matches against Crystal Palace
  • Fulham have drawn 2 of their last 3 matches against Crystal Palace
  • Fulham are unbeaten in 3 of their last 4 matches.

Head To Head

Fulham secured a crushing 3-0 win over Palace when they travelled to Selhurst Park last season, while the return saw the points shared in a 2-2 draw.

In their last 10 meetings, Palace have three wins, Fulham have won three times and there have been four draws.

Crystal Palace Form

Crystal Palace struggled to get going against Aston Villa last week as they lost 3-1 on the road.

This defeat ended a run of two wins for Palace, who defeated Plymouth 4-2 in the EFL Cup before a 3-2 win over Wolves in the League.

Fulham Form

Fulham have exactly the same record as Palace this season, and they have also struggled with their inconsistencies across their campaign.

A 1-0 win over Luton last weekend was hardly comfortable, but it did end a four-game winless run.

Fulham lost 3-0 to Brentford, drew 2-2 with Arsenal, 1-1 with Tottenham in the EFL Cup before winning on penalties and lost 5-1 to Manchester City back in Premier League action.

Verdict

I am backing this to be a tight game as the pair grind out another draw in the London Derby.
