Stats

  • Crystal Palace are unbeaten in 3 consecutive matches.
  • Crystal Palace are unbeaten in 3 of their last 6 against Man City.
  • Man City have lost their last 5 away games.

Head to Head

Man City have a 38-17 advantage against Crystal Palace in 71 meetings with 16 draws.

Crystal Palace Form

Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace have improved recently and climbed out of the Premier League’s relegation zone. Palace are 17th with 12 points, nine of which have come in their last five games.

The Eagles are unbeaten since returning from the November international break. They notched back-to-back draws, holding Aston Villa 2-2 away before a 1-1 home draw with Newcastle.

Palace extended their mini-unbeaten run with a comfortable 1-0 victory at Ipswich. The South Londoners had 1.65-0.47 XG and Jean-Philippe Mateta scored the winner on 58 minutes.

Crystal Palace Injuries

Forward Matheus Franca and midfielder Adam Wahrton are injured and unavailable for selection on Saturday.

Man City Form

Man City are winless in seven of their last eight in all competitions, losing six. The Premier League champions are nine points behind Liverpool in the title race after losing four of their previous five league games.

City were on a four-match losing streak in the Premier League. Three of these came on the road with 2-1 losses at Bournemouth and Brighton and a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola’s side returned to winning ways on Wednesday with a 3-0 home win over Nottingham Forest. Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne scored in the opening 30 minutes and Jeremy Doku struck in the second period.

Man City Injuries

Defenders John Stones, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji are carrying injuries and are unlikely to play here.

Forward Phil Foden is ruled out through illness and Oscar Bobb is also unavailable due to injury.

Midfield pair Rodri and Mateo Kovacic have long-term injuries and won’t feature.

Verdict

Crystal Palace are better than their league position shows and have been much more solid in recent games. This is likely to be a tough test for the struggling Citizens and Palace can cover the double chance market.
