Everton vs Crystal Palace Match Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

Everton will be targeting their third consecutive Premier League victory when they take on Crystal Palace at Goodison Park. Both teams have looked shaky at the back this season and should serve up goals on Sunday.

Everton FC

The Toffees head into this weekend's action off the back of a 2-1 victory away at Leicester City. Richarlison opened the scoring on seven minutes before Gylfi Sigurdsson struck the winner late in the second half.

Marco Silva's team are currently 11th on the table having claimed just three wins so far this season. They have been hampered by a shaky backline which has seen them keep just one clean sheet in eight matches.

Kurt Zouma and Michael Keane have been the ones holding the fort at the back for Everton and both men should retain their place in the team. The Toffees have some decent quality going forward with the likes of Richarlison, Bernard and Sigurdsson, all of whom will be looking to continue their good form.

Crystal Palace FC

The Eagles are coming off a disappointing loss at home against newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last Premier League fixture. Roy Hodgson's team missed several goal-scoring opportunities before falling to a 1-0 defeat.

Palace are enduring a poor campaign so far having claimed just two wins and suffered five defeats in their opening eight matches. Goals have been a problem for the London club as they have only found the net five times this season, the second poorest return in the league

Wilfried Zaha has once again been the standout player for Palace having netted three goals in seven matches. The Ivorian forward is expected to start on Saturday, although he has failed to score in his last four appearances.

Everton have the slight edge in this fixture having claimed 14 wins and suffered 10 defeats in 26 previous matches against Crystal Palace. The Toffees are also unbeaten in the last six meetings with two wins in that run.

The last fixture between both teams at Goodison Park ended 3-1 in favour of the hosts. Sigurdsson, Tom Davies and Oumar Niasse got the goals for Everton while Luka Milivojevic struck a late consolation for Palace.

Everton have looked sharp in attack this season with Richarlison, Sigurdsson and Theo Walcott all impressing. The pace and movement of all three men should cause problems for James Tomkins and Mamadou Sakho.

The hosts have not been too solid at the back and the duo of Zouma and Keane could find things difficult against Zaha, who appears to be the major attacking threat for Palace.
