Everton Form

Everton have been very hard to beat since David Moyes returned to the club in mid-January. Under Moyes, the Toffees have lost just two of their last 13 league fixtures.

The Merseysiders pulled well clear of relegation danger following a nine-match unbeaten run. They have drawn against Liverpool 2-2, Man United 2-2 and Arsenal 1-1 in this spell.

Moyes’ outfit continued their strong run of form against the top sides by defeating Nottingham Forest 1-0 away. The Toffees had 1.26-0.43 and Abdoulaye Doucouré struck a 93rd-minute winner.

Everton Injuries

Midfielders Orel Mangala and Jesper Lindstrøm are injured and unavailable.

Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also unlikely to feature due to injury.

Man City Form

Pep Guardiola’s Man City are fifth in the Premier League and have a one-point advantage over sixth-placed Chelsea. The Citizens have struggled for momentum and won just five of their previous nine matches.

City have only won twice in their last five fixtures. The reigning champions dropped points in their last two away, losing 1-0 at Nottingham Forest and drawing 0-0 at Man United.

The Citizens responded by thrashing Crystal Palace 5-2 at home on Saturday. Guardiola’s side were 2-0 down before Kevin De Bruyne, Omar Marmoush, Mateo Kovacic, James McAtee and Nico O'Reilly struck.

Man City Injuries

Midfielder Rodri, striker Erling Haaland and goalkeeper Ederson are out with long-term injuries.

Defensive trio Manuel Akanji, John Stones and Nathan Aké are also sidelined here.

Verdict

Everton have been much improved recently and keep things tight in the Premier League. The in-form Toffees are in good shape and can win or draw against patchy Man City.
