Leicester City are odds-on for relegation from the Premier League despite naming Dean Smith as their new manager.

The Foxes, who fired Brendan Rodgers last week, are second from bottom in the table, two points from safety heading into their final eight games.

And although the gap is not huge, the bookmakers believe relegation is on the cards.

Leicester are 4/5 for the drop at Coral, with only Southampton and Nottingham Forest at shorter odds, at 1/7 and 4/9 respectively.

“Dean Smith has a big job on his hands at Leicester if he is to keep them up,” Coral’s John Hill told FreeTips.com.

“We make the Foxes odds-on to go down, with only Southampton and Nottingham Forest shorter than them in the relegation betting.”
