Man City are sixth in the Premier League table and one point behind the three teams above. City have a game in hand and can climb up to third with a win against Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola’s side have won seven of their last 10 games in all competitions. Four of those victories came at home against Leicester 2-0, Palace 5-2, Aston Villa 2-1 and Wolves 1-0.

The Citizens followed the Wolves victory with a two-match winless run, including a 0-0 league draw at Southampton.

City then lost 1-0 against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final. Guardiola’s team dominated with 23 shots and 78% possession, but conceded the winner after 16 minutes.

Man City Injuries

Midfielder Rodri and defensive pair John Stones and Nathan Aké are injured.

Forward Oscar Bobb is also unlikely to feature due to injury.

Bournemouth Form

Bournemouth are comfortably in the Premier League’s mid-table and can finish as high as eighth this season.

The south coast club had a good chance of European qualification before dropping points in nine of their last 11. Bournemouth have one win in their last four matches, a 2-1 victory at Arsenal.

Andoni Iraola’s side couldn’t build winning momentum and lost 1-0 at home against Aston Villa. The Cherries allowed 1.12 XG, conceded early in the second half and were unable to respond.

Bournemouth Injuries

Midfielders Alex Scott and Ryan Christie are sidelined with injuries.

Attacking trio Enes Ünal, Luis Sinisterra and Dango Ouattara are also ruled out.

City can put themselves in a strong position in the race for Champions League football with a win over Bournemouth. The Cherries are unconvincing and the Citizens can take advantage with a much-needed home victory.
