Premier League Relegation Odds – Promoted Trio Favourites For The Drop
- Norwich, Watford & Brentford were promoted last season
- Bookies tipping trio to last just one season in the Premier League
- Crystal Palace 7/4 for the drop under new boss Patrick Vieira
The three newly-promoted clubs are all being tipped for immediate relegation from the Premier League.
Norwich City are back in the top flight after a one-year absence thanks to an impressive title success in the Championship.
The Canaries racked up 97 points to win the second-tier title, but that has not swayed bet365.
Daniel Farke’s side are 5/6 favourites to be relegated from the Premier League for the second time in three seasons.
Watford, who finished six points behind Norwich, are next up at Even-money for the drop.
Brentford finished third in the table and successfully navigated the play-offs to earn promotion.
But despite finishing behind the Canaries and the Hornets, they are thought to be the best candidates to stay up out of the trio at 11/10.
Crystal Palace have undergone a managerial change in the summer with Patrick Vieira succeeding Roy Hodgson.
Vieira could face a fight to keep the Eagles up though because at 7/4 they are the leading contenders for the drop out of the teams who played in the top flight in 2020/21.
Burnley are next up at 5/2 with Newcastle United 11/1 and Southampton 4/1.
Wolves moved on from Nuno Espirito Santo in the summer and are 5/1 for the drop as the bookies predict a potentially congested bottom half of the table.
Brighton are 6/1 for relegation, with 7/1 Aston Villa and both Leeds United and West Ham United 9/1 as the other clubs shorter than 25s.
