It will be the case of ‘same again’ for the top four in the Premier League, according to the bookmakers.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea filled those lost at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

bet365 believe they will claim the Champions League qualifying spots again in 2021/22.

City appeared nailed on for a top-four finish at odds of 1/16, with the other trio odds-on but at longer odds.

United finished second last season but at 2/7 they find themselves at longer odds than 1/4 Liverpool and Chelsea.

If there is to be a new face in the top four this season the bookies believe the leading contenders are Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs endured a difficult search for Jose Mourinho’s replacement in the summer, but they eventually turned to Nuno Espirito Santo.

Santo earned plenty of plaudits at Wolves and it is 4/1 that he leads Tottenham into the top four in his first season in charge.

Arsenal and Leicester City are next up at 9/2 in the betting, while West Ham United are 12/1 having finishes just two points off the top four last season.
