Head to Head

Tottenham have a 25-7 advantage against Brentford in 48 meetings with 16 draws. There have been 17 total goals in the last four encounters between these sides.

Tottenham Form

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham have struggled for early season form, sealing just one win from four league games.

The North Londoners threw away a 1-0 lead and drew 1-1 at Leicester on matchday one. A thumping 4-0 home over Everton followed before a 2-1 loss at Newcastle and a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Spurs then secured a nervy 2-1 win at Coventry in the EFL Cup, coming back from a goal down. Tottenham allowed 15 shots on goal and were saved by Djed Spence and Brennan Johnson’s goals in the final five minutes.

Tottenham Injuries & Team News

Forward duo Richarlison and Timo Werner are ruled out due to injury.

Midfielder Wilson Odobert came off in the Coventry game and is a doubt for this fixture.

Brentford Form

Brentford are comfortably in the Premier League’s mid-table after two wins and two defeats. The Bees beat Crystal Palace 2-1 and Southampton 3-1, losing to Liverpool 2-0 and Man City 2-1.

Thomas Frank’s team progressed in the EFL Cup with a comeback 3-1 win against Leyton Orient. Brentford trailed 1-0 on 11 minutes but Fabio Carvalho, Mikkel Damsgaard and Christian Norgaard replied before the break.

Brentford Injuries & Team News

Defenders Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey are sidelined and won’t feature.

Forward duo Forward Gustavo Nunes and Igor Thiago have also been ruled out.

Midfielders Josh Dasilva, Yoane Wissa and Mathias Jensen are injured and unlikely to play a part here.

Verdict

Tottenham and Brentford haven’t looked assured in defence this season. Both sides have frailties at the back and more goals can come in North London.
