Fortuna Sittard edged NAC Breda 2-1 at home in their last Eredivisie match but have lost eight consecutive away fixtures in all competitions. This run has seen Rene Eijer’s men go down 6-0 to Heracles, 5-0 to PSV and PEC Zwolle, 5-1 to De Graafschap and 4-0 to Ajax.

A mid-season cruciate ligament rupture to captain and centre-back Wessel Dammers was the catalyst to Fortuna’s defence imploding. They have yet to recover although Dammers has not played an Eredivisie match since December.
