The squad from Almelo had a great run in late March/early April during which they beat Twente 2-1 and AZ Alkmaar 1-0, while the duel against last-placed RKC Waalwijk ended in a goalless draw.

Their form has declined recently though, losing to Groningen 4-1 on 23rd April and 4-1 against Feyenoord earlier this month, Thomas Bruns and Luka Kulenovic scoring consolation goals.

Willem II will be without suspended centre-back Raffael Behounek, who was sent off late in the match against NEC. They are also likely to miss Runar Thor Sigurgeirsson and Dani Mathieu due to knee injuries, while Mickael Tirpan is battling illness and remains doubtful.
