Burnley vs Bournemouth Predictions
Bournemouth come into this match after winning their first match under Jonathan Woodgate. Should Sean Dyche decide to rest key players, it could turn out to be a tight affair. My best bet is for this match to end level and go into extra time.

- Bournemouth have seen BTTS Yes in their last 4 matches (all competitions).
Head to Head
Burnley lead 12-5 in 23 matches against Bournemouth along with six drawn encounters.
Their last match took place in the 2019/20 Premier Leagues season where Burnley won 3-0 at home.
Burnley Form
Burnley advanced to the 5th round of the FA Cup with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Fulham towards the end of January. Their primary focus will however be to remain in the Premier League this season.
After their success at Fulham in the FA Cup, Burley returned to Premier League action with an exciting 3-2 victory at home to Aston Villa. That was followed by a 2-0 defeat at Chelsea and a 2-0 home loss to Manchester City.
Last time out, Burnley drew 1-1 at home against Brighton. The visitors took a first half lead before Johann Berg Gudhmundsson equalised shortly after the break. The match was a tense encounter where both teams were happy to take a point, rather than risk defeat.
Burnley Injuries & Team News
Sean Dyche is likely to rotate his squad for this encounter with the priority remaining the English Premier League.
Forward Chris Wood is out injured while left-back Charlie Taylor, winger Robbie Brady and Josh Brownhill are all touch and go. Regardless, they are unlikely to be risked in the FA Cup.
In defence, Dyche could opt for Jimmy Dunne, Kevin Long and Phil Bardsley.
Bournemouth Form
Bournemouth reached the 5th round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 home victory over Crawley Town. While a cup run will please the fans, Bournemouth’s main focus will be on regaining promotion to the top division.
As 2020 came to a close, Bournemouth were flying high in the Championship, however they have suffered a terrible drop in form since mid-January.
The Cherries suffered four straight league defeats before winning at the weekend. That run began with a 1-0 defeat at Derby County and a 3-1 loss at Reading. They returned home only to lose 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday which led to the sacking of manager Jason Tindall.
Bournemouth did get back to winning ways with a 3-2 home win over Birmingham City in their last match. That was Jonathan Woodgate’s first game in charge.
After going 1-0 down, Bournemouth took the lead through goals by Arnaut Groeneveld and Jack Wilshere. City equalised but Philip Billing scored the winner 13 minutes from the end.
Bournemouth Injuries & Team News
Woodgate will prioritise promotion but is still likely to go close to full strength as he looks to maintain momentum after victory at the weekend.
Midfielder Junior Stanislas and forward Dominic Solanke missed out on the last match through injury. They remain doubts ahead of this clash.
Shane Long made his debut after signing from Southampton. He should continue if Solanke is not fit to start.
