Manchester United vs West Ham Predictions

West Ham have been in good form, losing just one of their last 11 matches in all competitions. But they haven't won at Old Trafford since 2007.

Despite drawing a blank against Fulham at the weekend, the Hammers have goals in them. With Man United looking vulnerable in defence at the weekend against Everton, both teams to score is the best bet.

  • Manchester United have seen over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches (all competitions).
  • Manchester United have scored 12 goals in their last 2 matches (Premier League).
  • Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has scored 9 goals in his last 12 home matches (all competitions).
  • Manchester United are undefeated in their last 15 home matches against West Ham (all competitions).
  • West Ham are undefeated in 10 of their last 11 matches (all competitions).
  • West Ham have won 7 of their last 9 matches (all competitions).
  • West Ham have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 6 away matches against Manchester United (all competitions).

Head to Head

Manchester United hold a 67-45 head to head advantage over West Ham. There have also been 32 draws in the previous 144 clashes.

United scored three times in the last 25 minutes to win 3-1 in the Premier League away to West Ham in the most recent meeting.

Thomas Soucek opened the scoring for West Ham. Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford sealed a come-from-behind win for Man United.

Manchester United Form

Manchester United dropped two points in the Premier League title quest on Saturday in a thrilling 3-3 with Everton.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side led 2-0 through Edison Cavani and Bruno Fernandes goals, but found themselves level seven minutes into the second-half.

Scott McTominay's 70th minute goal looked to have sealed the points. But Everton scored a 95th equaliser through Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The six-goal thriller followed United's 9-0 victory over nine-man Southampton. But that remains their only win the last four matches.

The Red Devils slipped up in a 2-1 defeat at home Sheffield United and then drew 0-0 with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

In the FA Cup, United have beaten Watford 1-0 at home and Liverpool 3-2 at Old Trafford to reach the fifth round.

Manchester United Team News

Cup goalkeeper Dean Henderson will replace David De Gea in goal in one a number of changes.

Midfielder Paul Pogba is out with a thigh injury, joining centre-backs Phil Jones and Eric Bailly on the list of likely absentees.

Left-back Alex Telles, midfielder Fred and forwards Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek should all come into the starting line-up.

West Ham Form

West Ham's run of four successive away wins came to an end in a 0-0 draw at Fulham on Saturday.

It was only the second time in the last nine games that the Hammers had failed to win a game. The other came in a 3-1 defeat at home to Liverpool.

David Moyes' side have won seven times in 2021, including defeats of Stockport and Doncaster in the FA Cup to set up this fifth round tie.

West Ham sit in sixth spot in the Premier League after wins over Everton, Burnley, West Brom, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa since New Year's Day.

West Ham Team News

On-loan Jesse Lingard is unavailable against his parent club, so Pablo Fornals is likely to return to the Hammers midfield.

In a boost for West Ham, midfielder Thomas Soucek is available after having his late red card after Fulham overturned.

Left-back Arthur Masuaku is still out and forward Michail Antonio could get a rest. But goalkeeper Darren Randolph is set to be available after injury.

United have slipped up at home twice recently and I'm avoiding the match result market. Both teams to score is the best bet for a cup tie that both sides are likely to make changes.
If Bruno Fernandes starts, he should be in your first goalscorer and anytime goalscorer bets.
