It wasn't another goal-fest for Victory, but they produced a workmanlike performance to advance, with Jordi Valadon's strike in the 88th minute proving the difference in a 1-0 triumph.

Victory are now gunning for their third Australia Cup trophy after previously claiming the honours in 2015 and 2021.

Macarthur FC Form

Macarthur haven't been as dominant in reaching their second Australia Cup final, but they've got the job done and deserve their place.

The Bulls have suffered a massive blow for the final, with star striker Valere Germain suspended after getting sent off in the dying stages in the semi-final win over South Melbourne.

Germain had earlier slotted home the penalty that handed Macarthur a 1-0 victory, while the French striker had also scored three goals in the previous two cup games.

Before that semi-final, Macarthur had survived and advanced by one-goal margins over O'Connor Knights (2-1), Newcastle Jets (4-3) and Oakleigh Cannons (1-0).

Macarthur are aiming to lift the Australia Cup for the second time after defeating Sydney United in the 2022 final.
