Melbourne Victory should be too good for NPL side Moreton City Excelsior, who are are competing in the quarter-finals of this competition for the first time in their history. The underdogs can get on the scoresheet though.

It's been an outstanding season for Moreton City. Cameron Millar's side reached the Grand Final of NPL Queensland, where they were upstaged 1-0 by Queensland Lions on the weekend.

But perhaps more impressively, Moreton City have advanced into the Australia Cup quarter-finals for the first time.

They demolished Campbelltown City 5-1 before recovering from a two-goal deficit to beat A-League side Perth Glory 3-2 in the Round of 16.

Marquez Walters and Ben Holliday drew Moreton City level before Joseph Scott scored the winner in the 86th minute, sending the home fans into euphoric celebrations.

Melbourne Victory Form

Victory had a good season in the A-League last term, but they would have been hugely disappointed with how it ended.

They conceded in the final stages of the Grand Final against the Central Coast Mariners before collapsing in extra-time.

Turning their attention to capturing a third Australia Cup crown, Victory have been untroubled in reaching the quarter-finals.

Victory have scored four goals in both of their wins on the road, downing Lambton Jaffas 4-1 and NWS Spirit 4-0.

Victory are obviously favourites and it would be a massive shock if Moreton City won this. They have, however, scored in 15 of their last 16 outings in all competitions and can find the back of the net.
