After leading 1-0 against the Central Coast Mariners, Victory conceded in the 91st minute and proceeded to lose 3-1 in extra-time.
Victory returned to action with a 4-1 triumph over Lambton Jaffas in the Australia Cup Round of 32, with Nishan Vellupillay bagging himself a double.
Verdict
It's been a good run for NWS Spirit, but I predict it comes to an end in the Round of 16. Victory are simply on a different level, and after firing four goals past Lambton I'd expect them to post a similar sort of win here.
