AFC Champions League winners Al Ahly were impressive in their quarter-finals as they beat Al Ittihad 3-1 on Friday.

Marcel Koller's side have now lost just one of their last 17 matches in all competitions.

Al Ahly headed into the FIFA Club World Cup on the back of three straight draws in all competitions.

The Egyptian side drew 0-0 with Smouha in the Premier League before being held 1-1 by Young Africans and 0-0 by CR Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League.
