Seattle’s chances to reach the Club World Cup playoffs have been reduced to a minimum after losing both games.

The Sounders Seattle kicked things off with a 2-1 defeat to Botafogo, conceding two unanswered goals in the first half, Cristian Roldan scoring consolation in the 75th minute.

They have found the net in the second round against favored Atletico Madrid as well (Albert Rusnak in the 50th minute) but suffered well-deserved 3-1 defeat.
