South Korea’s U20 World Cup campaign got off to a 1-0 defeat against Portugal. They picked up their first points at the tournament with a hard-fought 1-0 win against South Africa in Tychy with Kim Hyunwoo scoring the winner.

The Taeguk Warriors then took on Argentina and won 2-1. Goals to Oh Sehun and Young-Wook secured a vital win that ensured a spot in the round of 16.

South Korea faced Asian rivals Japan in the last 16 and got through after a late winner secured a 1-0 win. Oh Sehun headed the home at the back post in the 84th minute in a close match.

Jeong-yong Jung’s side rely heavily on attacking midfielder Kang-in Lee and he will be one to watch against Senegal. South Korea can be backed at 3.70 to beat Senegal, many will be taking that price with South Korea having gone undefeated in seven of their last 10 matches at the U20 World Cup.

Senegal topped Group A at the FIFA U20 World Cup after two wins and a draw where they kept three clean sheets. Amadou Sagna scored a hat-trick in Lublin as the Young Lions of Teranga eased to a 3-0 win against Tahiti in their opening match.

The Africans maintained their perfect start with a 2-0 win against Colombia, penalties to Ibrahima Niane and Dion Lopy wrapping up a convincing victory. A 0-0 draw followed against hosts Poland in Lodz where both teams were content with a point.

Nigeria were the round of 16 opponents with Senegal scraping past their African rivals after a 2-1 win at Lodz Stadium. Amadou Sagna scored his fourth goal at the tournament and Ibrahima Niane made it 2-0 before half time.

Youssouph Dabo’s side held on for a crucial win but will have to take on South Korea without suspended defensive midfielder Dion Lopy. Senegal are favourites to advance to the semi-finals and can be backed at 2.20.

Senegal U20 are undefeated in their last 13 matches in regulation time in all competitions. They are certainly hard to beat but I think this match is going to extra time and will be backing a draw at 3.30.
