Graham Arnold’s side took on some top quality opposition, losing 2-0 against Argentina and 1-0 against England either side of a 2-2 draw against Mexico.

The Socceroos got off to a great start in the World Cup qualifiers, thrashing Bangladesh 7-0 in Melbourne. Harry Souttar and Brandon Borrello scored early with Mitchell Duke bagging a brace, Jamie Maclaren coming off the bench to score a hat-trick.
