Romania had an amazing run in the UEFA Nations League C, winning all six encounters with a goal difference of 18-3 to earn promotion to a higher division.

The Tricolours wrapped up the UNL campaign with two convincing home victories in mid-November. They were granted a 3-0 win against Kosovo at table after their opponents left the pitch in Bucharest, then beating Cyprus 4-1 a couple of days later.

Daniel Birligea broke the deadlock two minutes in, Razvan Marin doubling the lead before break. The same player scored third goal, while Florinel Coman finished the job in 83rd minute.

Mircea Lucescu’s side also had a decent run in EURO 2024, advancing to the Round of 16 where they lost to the Netherlands 3-0.

Bosnia & Herzegovina Form

Appointing Sergej Barbarez as the national coach didn’t change much for Bosnia & Herzegovina, as they had a disastrous run in the UEFA Nations League A, ending as last in Group 3 with just two points.

The Dragons lost their home ground twice in October clashes against Germany 2-1 and Hungary 2-0, Edin Dzeko being their sole scorer.

Bosnia and Herzegovina were humiliated in their first November appearance, losing to Germany 7-0, while wrapping up the campaign with a 1-1 home draw against the Netherlands, Ermedin Demirovic scoring an equalizer in 67th minute.

Team News

Two standard members of the Romanian squad Radu Dragusin and Valentin Mihaila are injured, while Alexandru Pascanu was not called up. Nicolae Stanciu has 79 appearances for the national team and also is the top scorer on this roster with 15 goals.

As for the visitors, Jusuf Gasibegovic is injured, while Sheffield United’s Anel Ahmedhodzic has withdrawn from the national team. Edin Dzeko could make his 140th appearance for the national team, scoring 67 goals so far.
