Defender Rhys Norrington-Davies were left out alongside forwards Rabbi Matondo and Tyler Roberts.

Midfielder Joe Allen came off the bench against Iran after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is suspended with Danny Ward set to start. Striker Kieffer Moore did well against Iran and should continue to start up front.

England failed to win in all six Nations League matches to finish bottom of League A/3 and get relegated.

Gareth Southgate’s side failed to score in four of their opening five games which included a 4-0 home defeat to Hungary. They ended their campaign with a 3-3 draw against Germany. 

England had a great start at the World Cup with a 6-2 win against Iran. They couldn’t keep it going, held to a 0-0 draw against USA in a match with few chances.
