World Cup 2022 Odds – England fourth best in outright World Cup betting
- 2022 World Cup gets underway on November 20
- England 7/1 to win tournament with Coral after naming squad
- Brazil 4/1 favourites ahead of 11/2 Argentina & 6/1 France
England are fourth favourites to win the 2022 World Cup after Gareth Southgate named his squad on Thursday.
The Three Lions were relegated from the top tier of the UEFA Nations League this year, but the bookmakers are not ruling out the prospect of them bouncing back in style.
England, who made the final of the last Euros, are 7/1 with Coral to go all the way in Qatar.
That puts them behind only three nations in the outright betting – Brazil, Argentina and France.
The Brazilians are 4/1 favourites, with Argentina 11/2 and defending champions France 6/1.
“England head to Qatar as one of the leading contenders for the trophy,” Coral’s John Hill told FreeTips.com.
“They are fourth best in our outright betting, behind only Brazil, Argentina and France.
Meanwhile, in Coral’s stage of elimination betting both quarter-final and round of 16 exits for England are priced at 9/4.
A semi-final exit for the Three Lions is 9/2 with another runners-up showing at a major tournament available at 8/1.
It is 13/2 that England suffer further embarrassment this year and bow out at the group stage.
“After two excellent back-to-back tournaments, we expect confidence behind the Three Lions to be high with patriotic punters this year,” Hill added.
