Dunkerque had their moments in the French Cup this season but enter this match with three straight defeats Ligue 2 behind. PSG are dominating French football this season so I will back them to earn a clean win in the semifinals.

This is going to be the first head to head match between Dunkerque and PSG.

Dunkerque are having an amazing run in the French Cup this season, eliminating three top-flight teams to reach the grand finals, beating Auxerre 1-0, Lille on penalties (1-1 in regular time) and most recently Brest 3-2.

Their Ligue 2 campaign has taken a huge hit recently though, dropping down to 5th place after losing three games in a row.

After starting March with a 2-1 win at Ajaccio, Dunkerque suffered back to back defeats against Rodez 5-1, Metz 3-2 and Bastia 2-0.

PSG Form

Paris SG have been excellent form recently, securing four victories across competitions in March and sit lonely at top of the Ligue 1 table with a 21-point advantage over 2nd placed Monaco.

After losing the first tie at home 1-0, Luis Enrique’s side defeated Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield (Ousmane Dembele on target) then proceeded to eliminate the Reds on penalties to advance to the Champions League quarterfinals.

The Saints then earned two convincing victories on the domestic scene, beating Marseille 3-1 at home and St Etienne 6-1 on the road last weekend.

Dembele is having an incredible season so far, scoring 30 goals in his 38 appearances across competitions while also registering six assists.

Team News

Nurio Fortuna (knock) and Alexi Pitu (muscle injury) are ruled out for Dunkerque.

Luis Enrique can’t count on two players, midfielder Lee Kang-in and third-option goalkeeper Arnau Tenas ruled out due to injuries.
